Ben Owen is a 28+ year enterprise technology operator turned founder, with a career spent building and scaling production systems inside the world’s most demanding industries. He has held executive leadership roles at AWS, IBM, SAP, and Cloudera, operating at the intersection of cloud, data, and AI across Energy, Manufacturing, and highly regulated sectors throughout EMEA. Ben also built and successfully exited two startups focused on Enterprise technology. At AWS and IBM, Ben led large-scale cloud and AI initiatives for some of the world’s largest industrial and government organizations, translating advanced technology into systems that ran production, under real operational and regulatory constraints. At Cloudera, he helped drive enterprise adoption of data and machine learning platforms during the company’s growth and drove the Cloud business in EMEA and transition into mission-critical deployments for global customers. His work has consistently focused on taking complex, high-risk systems from concept to live operation, not pilots or demos. Ben founded Atelic to apply that hard-earned execution discipline to the next wave of industrial AI. His track record is defined by shipping, scaling, and operating technology where failure is not an option. Atelic reflects that mindset. Built for autonomy, safety, and measurable ROI from day one, not experimentation dressed up as innovation.

Simon Williams is a co-founder of Atelic and a senior Energy industry operator with more than 20 years of experience across offshore drilling, subsurface, and production operations. He was the third employee at Sekal, now an industry standard for real-time drilling digital twins, where he worked directly offshore and applied machine learning on live oil rigs more than 15 years ago, long before AI was fashionable in Energy. Simon has since driven industrial and AI initiatives across major Energy organizations, including building and scaling industry solutions at AWS, spanning oil and gas and clean energy. For the past decade, his work has focused almost exclusively on applied AI in heavy industry. At Atelic, he ensures the platform is grounded in operational reality, aligned with how Energy companies actually manage risk, deploy technology, and move AI into production at scale.
